How to provide medication to sick and injured stray animals?

Feeding stray animals and facing opposition?
There is NO law that prohibits feeding of street animals. People who oppose this with aggression can be held liable for committing offence described in the Indian Penal Code and criminal intimidation. However while feeding please ensure that you do not make the place dirty.

How to stop people from harming stray animals?
As per Indian law, street dogs cannot be beaten or driven away. They can be sterilized, vaccinated, treated and returned back to their original location. It is a crime to harm street animals; the offender can be jailed and/or fined. Speak to people about this so that they will not harm the stray animals, at least due to the fear of law. How to control population of stray animals
CONTROLLING THE POPULATION is one of the highest priorities. Check the stray animals in your area who are not sterilized, at regular intervals. Call NGOs who are responsible for ABC (Animal Birth Control) in your area. Ensure that all the stray animals who are taken for sterilization are released to their respective location. Check on them for over 2-3 weeks or more; if they develop any complication, please report and call the NGOs for treatment.
